Bribery at the Pune Passport Office

I am not sure of the name of the official. But at the Pune Passport Office near the Kothrud Police Chowki, issuing a new passport required me to pay a bribe. Some paperwork was done in a small office to the right, then a police officer did the verification in another room and the collection was to be done back in the earlier room. While I went to collect, the official indicated with hand gestures that I would have to pay some money before I left.
